Have you ever wondered why the people in your life are in your life? It’s not an accident you know. The fact is that you’ve attracted them. Yes, your thoughts are what create your entire reality including the people you share time with.
The topic of my weekly blog series this month is based on the joy habit Be Thoughtful from Chapter 33 of my book Being Joy™ where I write about how your inner and outer dialogue attract everything that shows up in your life, including your relationships. And the relationships we have with others can be one of the most challenging parts of being a human being.
You see, we humans are social creatures. From an early age most of us are taught how to share, cooperate, and basically get along. And as we mature, we become more aware of our own identities and gravitate towards others who share similar interests and values.
Yes, we gravitate.
It’s our vibrational energy that pulls us towards certain people. But our vibration is just an expression of our thoughts. And it’s our thoughts that hold that invisible power that guides our life. So, if you’re not happy with the relationships you have, perhaps it’s time to consider how your thoughts have drawn these people into your life and what they were there to teach you.
I’m of the belief that certain relationships come into your life at the right time for the right reason to serve a purpose, and once the lesson or purpose has been conveyed, then they move on. Other relationships change and evolve but stay throughout your entire life. Neither is right or wrong. They both have meaning.
Again, it’s your thoughts that brought those people to you in the first place. And your thoughts come from an inner place — from a soul place – one, that at a higher level is assisting you on your journey through this life experience. So, I ask you to be more aware of your thoughts and how they are influencing what you attract.
If you’ve been a regular reader of my blog, you know that I’m a big fan of the practical teachings of Abraham as expressed through Esther Hicks. And one of my favourite resources is their “Getting into the Vortex” guided meditation CD and user guidebook. I’ve given many copies to family and friends over the years as the four short 15-minute guided meditations have always helped to center and focus me on the various area of assistance that I need at the time.
One of the meditations is on relationships and here is a passage from the book:
“You are the thinking, vibrating attractor of your experience; and the thoughts you think determine everything about the life that you live. As you turn your attention toward the positive aspects of the personalities and behaviors of others with whom you share your planet, you will train your point of attraction in the direction of only what you desire. Not only does the power of your thought determine which people make their way into your life, but the power of your thought determines how they behave once they get there.”
I hope this post has been of some value to you. I offer it to you with love and joy in my heart.
