Happy is as happy does

Quote over violet mandala - “There is no duty we so much underrate as the duty of being happy. By being happy we sow anonymous benefits upon the world.” ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

I have a really great cheesy but endearing music video to share with you today.  On most nights before I turn in for the evening, I like to watch something light on TV to get out of my head and into my heart.  And one of the best ways I’ve found to do that is to watch music videos.

I love music.  All different kinds.  I also like to stay up to date with what some of the newer artists are creating.  It’s been amazing how much music has been created during the pandemic.  So, when I ran across this song a few months ago during the earlier days of the restrictions, I was really drawn to its simple message of “feeling blessed, never stressed”.  I loved it so much that I searched for it on YouTube and saved it on my desktop along with a few others I turn to when I need a lift.

You see, I agree wholeheartedly with Robert Louis Stevenson’s quote on today’s post – it is our duty to be happy.  In fact, that was the underlying motivation for my book Being Joy™. Its message and its mission is a simple one.  To use the high vibration of joy energy to heal our lives and change the world.  I know, a big mission.  But I believe it’s more important now than ever before.

Before I tell you about the song, I want to share another great piece of wisdom on the subject of happiness that I learned when reading Wayne Dyer’s book, There is a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem.  It comes from John Templeton who said in his book Worldwide Laws of Life, that:

graphic with the quote - “There are three simple words that almost seem to have magical properties for developing a positive attitude in our life. Feel supremely happy! When you let yourself feel supremely happy – regardless of outer appearances – your whole body changes. Your thoughts, your facial expressions, your health, your attitudes, in fact, everything about you changes for the better.”

Here here!

So, you see, it’s up to all of us, in fact it’s our duty to allow ourselves to “feel supremely happy” as much as possible, not just for our own well-being, but for the world at large.  Happiness and joy really do have magical properties!

Okay, now for the cheesy video.  It’s called Sunday Best, by Surfaces.  Sit back, watch it, and sink into your happy heart!

I hope you enjoyed the video as much as I appreciate its happy message.  It’s a great reminder to own your own happy and to leave behind all the little things that rob you of your birthright – your joy.

Until next time, keep your frequency high, your mind open, and your joy ever expanding.

Love from your Joy Mama,
