quote over blue mandala - “You feel good not because the world is right but your world is right because you feel good.” ~ Wayne Dyer, the Power of Intention.

Do you like poetry?  I do.  I especially love the new spoken word genre of poetry such as the evocative piece that Amanda Gorman delivered at Joe Biden’s inauguration. Powerful!

Words have such power as we’ve certainly learned over the last few years.  They have the power to incite hate or to inspire love – that is, if we allow them.

You see, you hold the power of how you interpret the words you hear and how you let them influence you. You are the only one who can.  And as Wayne Dyer’s quote suggests, when you choose to feel good despite the circumstances that surround you, your world changes. Simply put, you attract what you are.

In today’s post, I have two special treats to help elevate your happy heart.  One is a poem and the other is an activity.

Ready to get your happy on?

Poem by Gloria Stewart - Today I sit as still can be and let the peace flow through me. I feel the love that shifts my heart. i smile as joy comes to me.

The first treat for today is an activity that I originally included in Chapter 26 – Be Happy from my book Being Joy™.  It comes from Donna Eden’s book Energy Medicine in which she says: “The next time you feel fabulous, riveted, connected, on a high, or otherwise happy, reinforce this energy by ‘tapping’ the joy at your third eye, the point between your eyebrows just above the bridge of your nose. Tap with a steady beat for ten to twelve seconds.

What a wonderful activity to help your body remember your happy heart.  Your practice of “tapping in” will help the “happy” become more automatic whenever you find yourself confronted with words or situations that might bring you down.  I hope you’ll give it a try.  By the way, Donna Eden’s book has plenty of other great tools for balancing your energy.

The other treat I have is from a lovely diary my good friends Brian and Donna gave me at Christmas a couple of years back. It’s a poem included in We’Moon 2019, Gaia Rhythms for Women, and I’ve taken a picture of it for you here (sorry it’s so crooked).  It’s called The Invocation to Happiness by Sophia Rosenberg.  Please enjoy.

Until next time, keep your frequency high, your mind open, and your joy ever expanding.

P.S.    If you haven’t already read my book Being Joy™, it’s a simple 40-day practice of replacing old self-defeating beliefs with new empowering joy habits. As your vibrational frequency increases, you’ll not only experience more joy, but you’ll also be a beacon of hope for others who have forgotten their own joy.  Please join me on this important mission by ordering your copy today!
