Today’s blog is all about feelings. Yes, the touchy-feely kind. We all have them. But do yours serve you or get in the way of your joy? Let’s find out.
This week’s post is the 2nd of the last four posts I will write based on the last chapter of my book Being Joy™. “Be Aligned” was destined to be the last joy habit for the book. Not because it was following any pre-programmed conscious thought process of sequencing the chapters in a particular order of logical progression, but because it was meant to be an important middle point along the joy journey. This is what I mean.
I believe that every ending ushers in a new beginning. So here we are – at the middle point – an important crossroads of a new journey. The gap when being in alignment with your true self matters most.
Being aligned with your true self is about synchronizing the vibration you emit outwardly with your inner frequency which is the truth of you. Understanding the importance of this union is paramount for allowing the joy and wellbeing that is your birthright. You have to feel your way into alignment. Alignment doesn’t come from your brain – it comes from your heart.
The easiest way to determine if you are living in alignment with your spirit is to check in with how you are feeling – in your heart and your body. The better you feel, the more aligned you are. And the worse you feel, the more out of alignment you are.
Think of it as if you’re a car that needs a wheel alignment. What would your symptoms be?
- Your steering wheel goes crooked when you’re driving straight.
(You aren’t on the path that aligns with your truth)
- The steering wheel is noisy.
(Lots of mental confusion causing too much mind noise).
- Your tires are squealing.
(You lash out because of frustration.)
Your realignment, like a wheel alignment, returns you to your original operating system – the place where your true essence lives in a natural state of joy. And it starts with choosing to be happy.
When your happiness becomes your priority, you focus on happy things. That elevates your vibration and enables more happy things to come into your experience. That’s the power of attraction through vibrational alignment.
You see, we live in a vibrational universe which is based on energy and attraction. In his book The Power or Intention, Wayne Dyer said that
“When the frequency with which you’re vibrating is in contradiction with the frequency of the universal supply, you create a resistance, thereby inhibiting that flow of abundance into your life space. Your individual vibrations are the key to understanding the art of allowing.”
There you have it. Choose happiness first. The rest will follow. And that my friend is joyful living.
