quote over red mandala - "You are joy looking for a way to express" Abraham Hicks

The countdown has begun.

Today’s blog is the first of the last four posts I will be writing based on the 40 joy habits from my book Being Joy™. And as I was guided when I started to write the book in 2015, the last chapter is devoted to what I believe is the most important topic – alignment. And it’s a very deep topic at that. Probably why Spirit agreed that it should be the last one.

Of course, I didn’t know at the time why I felt so strongly that Chapter 40 should be called Be Aligned. But after writing these posts for the past 39 months, I realize now that I needed to evolve with the material as much as I hope some of you have as well. It’s been a journey – a Joy Journey!

You see, what I’ve come to understand more deeply is that alignment is at the core of your wellbeing which is really your natural state. And when you’re living in alignment with your true self, you are living in your joy. In fact, joy is your birthright.

As Abraham-Hicks says, “It’s not just that your purpose is joy, it is that you are joy. You are love and joy and freedom and clarity expressing.”

The consciousness of Abraham has been my greatest teacher about alignment. It seems that everything I learn from their books and recordings is anchored in the basic truths about alignment. If you’re not familiar with these teachings, a great place to start is the Getting into the Vortex book by Esther and Jerry Hicks, based on the teachings of Abraham. The book includes a guided meditations CD and user guide which I turn to often.

Here’s another great insight from Abraham-Hicks that reinforces the power of alignment. “Let your alignment with Well-Being be first and foremost and let everything else be secondary. And not only will you have an eternally joyous journey, but everything you have ever imagined will flow effortlessly into your experience.”

So, if wellbeing is your natural state, then why don’t you feel joy all the time? It comes down to whether you are choosing to allow or disallow wellbeing. Whether you are hanging on or letting go. Makes sense but not always easy to do.

That’s why sometimes you might need a little help. By learning how to replace old disempowering beliefs with new life-affirming habits, you can begin to curb your resistance to wellbeing. And once aligned, that’s where all the magic happens. That’s why I wrote my book Being Joy™.

The 40 joy habits from my book are the ones I was guided to choose that would best help block resistance so that you can allow the stream of wellbeing into your life and the fastest path to remembering your joy.

I initially wrote the book as a 40-day practice, but through these weekly blog posts, it has become a 40-month journey that I have been honoured to share with you. If you want to re-experience the journey, all the posts are archived here.

Over the next three weeks I’ll share some of my additional thoughts about alignment, including how your feelings shape your experiences, the role that vibrational frequency plays in what you attract, and how to put it all together so that being aligned will not only serve yourself but humanity as a whole.

Until next week, I ask you to judge less and forgive more, complain less and appreciate more, and resent less and love more. For when you live in harmonious alignment, that is joyful living my friend.

Love from your Joy Mama,
